What's the Egg Donation Medical Process Like?

Egg donors are required to complete a suitability assessment which includes
  • psychosocial counselling,
  • physical examination,
  • medical assessment (bloodwork and ultrasounds)
Egg Retrieval process includes:
  • Egg donors to take hormonal injections to stimulate their ovaries so that multiple eggs will become mature at once
  • Eggs are retrieved by minor surgery (there is conscious sedation)
